CCS Teacher Dr. Jaime Villarreal obtains doctoral degree

We are so proud of Dr. Jaime Villarreal, CCS Algebra II Honors and Introduction to Computer Science teacher, for achieving his Doctoral Degree in educational leadership. A journey started in 2014, Dr. Villarreal persevered and completed his degree in August of 2019. Along with his experience in education, he has also been actively involved in ministry and received his Pastoral License through the Missionary Church Organization in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Dr. Villareal’s primary motivation in pursuing his doctoral degree was to continue his pursuit in ministry and education. He witnessed the importance of becoming an effective leader within the pursuit to teach and prepare students to become lifelong learners and in the context of developing disciples to reach the nations.

He believes Cornerstone Christian Schools defines what integral education is by meeting the academic, social, and career development needs within the spiritual development of students. By setting Biblical core values as the center of a child’s education, we are empowering students to fulfill God’s purpose in their lives. He feels that both his ministry and education journey has prepared him to be a servant leader and teacher dedicated in preparation and development of Cornerstone Warriors that will impact and change the world by upholding God’s word in their lives.

Dr. Villarreal is married to Mrs. Lupita Villarreal for 23 years and his daughter, Jasmine is currently doing her student teaching at UTSA to become a Special Education teacher.
