Michaela C. receives Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation

Congratulations to CCS Senior, Michaela C., for being named as a Commended Student in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students are recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test use for program entry. Over 1.5 million students took the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) last October and entered the National Merit Scholarship Program, a nationwide competition for recognition and awards conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).

34,000 high performers were named Commended Students based on a national Selection Index score of 212, applicable to all program participants without regard to state-by-state distribution.

A Letter of Commendation with a congratulatory message was presented to Michaela, on behalf of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation by Superintendent, Dr. Luci Higgins, during the High School chapel service for such great achievement!
