Sports have always played a significant role in shaping the moral character of our students. Teamwork, self-sacrifice, courage, stamina, perseverance, hard work, self-control -- these values are forged in competition. Our athletic program lives by the highest code of sportsmanship. At CCS, we play hard, we play by the rules, and we have fun.
Coach Mike Carter began his career at Randolph High School from 1990-95 and then coached at Holmes High School from 1995-99 where he guided the volleyball program to a Top 10 Texas ranking.
He launched the Reagan Rattler volleyball program in 1999 and earned a berth in postseason play every season. He has frequently coached teams at the National and Open levels of competition, served as the Regional Director for the Texas Girls Coaching Association, and was chosen as a coach for the State All-Star game in 1998, 2007, 2016, and 2017.
Coach Carter served four years in the United States Air Force, earned his bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University, and his Master’s at Texas A & M, Kingsville.
